The Tong Shu identifies specific activities that are favored or discouraged on each day of the Chinese calendar. Rather than treating every day the same, the almanac recognizes that different types of energy suit different kinds of tasks, from major life events to routine decisions.
Activities are closely tied to the Day Officers. Certain officers naturally support certain tasks: an Open day, for example, favors grand openings and new ventures, while a Remove day is better suited to clearing out and decluttering.
